Timeframe: One Semester
About Us: Hemline was established in New Orleans in 1994 with two simple missions: to provide high-quality, unique merchandise to the fashion-forward woman and to create long-lasting customer relationships rooted in the trusted Hemline name and reputation. Hemline offers a range of sought-after women’s accessories, shoes, and apparel.
Marketing
Hands-on training and learning opportunity include but not limited to:
- Development and execution of marketing plans
- Newsletter (content development, planning, strategy)
- Social media marketing
- Influencer marketing and outreach
- Copy development for marketing materials
- Online calendar
- Maintain and create content for the Hemline blog
Hands-on training and learning opportunity include but not limited to:
- Understanding the buying process for 28 locations
- Researching and knowing upcoming trends
- Organizing purchase orders for all locations
- Help create presentations about trends
- Purchase order management
- Supporting designated buyer
- Demonstrate product knowledge
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in college/university
- Provide proof of internship requirements for school
- Dedicate 10-15/hours a week with a set schedule
- Knowledge of project management software (e.g. Asana, Trello, Slack, Google Apps)
- Design skills helpful (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
- Creative, driven, takes initiative
- Highly interested in the fashion industry
