Graphic Designer

HEMLINE is expanding their Marketing Department and seeks a Graphic Designer to join the team. The Corporate Marketing Department provides marketing collateral and expertise to the entire organization including 32 franchisees nationwide.

This is a full time role for a candidate who is able to partner with the internal Marketing team members. You will help manage the brand, develop strategic partnerships and grow our social channels. This position requires an extremely organized and detail oriented individual who can collaborate with the existing Marketing team as well as across all levels of the organization. We are looking for someone who is capable of working on numerous projects at a time in a fast-paced, results-driven, environment and is able to learn quickly as they go.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Designing comprehensive product and content marketing strategies and implementing campaigns across various distribution channels (32 locations in the southeast)
  • Working with the Head of Buying to take advantage of new deliveries and important products.
  • Create content through monthly photoshoots for websites and social media platforms
  • Manage the research and ordering of marketing promotional materials such as bags, seasonal giveaways, lookbooks, locations cards, etc.
  • Developing new design, marketing, and branding ideas
  • Creating and presenting monthly newsletters
  • Design and execute layouts for homepage features, landing pages, mobile and email blasts
  • Implement HTML coding when necessary for homepage content and email blasts
  • Create banner ads and social media materials

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Desire to work in a role with significant autonomy but with high expectations
  • Interest in bringing creative thought to a rapidly growing company
  • 1-3 years of work experience in marketing.
  • 1-3 years experience handling multiple clients
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of print techniques, CMYK color space and how to prepare documents for print
  • Basic copywriting conventions
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, and Photoshop CC
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use and design on a Mac
  • Understanding of photography principles
  • Knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS and modern responsive website design a plus.
